Hay laden trucks are heading out from the paddock, across the way from me, on their way to drought stricken farmers 'up north.'.
I've been watching them load hay this week. There is still a good size haystack left in my view. Our farmer will be getting the paddock ready to sow soon. He rotates the crop; sometimes wheat, sometimes Canola or oats. It's always fun trying to work out what is emerging, and what will be our view for the coming year.
I love the rural life.
The hay is being loaded and the trucks are revving up for departure today for the latest Burrumbuttock Hay Runners convoy to drought-stricken Queensland. 390 vehicles will take part in the world record-breaking hay run - the organiser is Brendan Farrell.
