It was a beautiful day to visit this pretty riverside reserve that used to be the market garden for the district.
Today it is an area of grassland, tracks down to the river that Reg is keen to investigate and start fishing from the bank as soon as the water stops flowing so fast.
My husband Reg wears a pedometer and tries to log up 1,000 steps a day. Unlike me, he has a lot of free time to enjoy in leisure activities of his choice, yes I do not totally envy him this, I love being busy, it just means I need to make sure I allocate enough time for our walks together.
With beautiful locations like this surrounding our home, walks are a pleasure.
Wattles were in bloom today, early spring sunshine, just perfect conditions for a stroll together.
The Chinaman's Garden Reserve has ample parking, it is on the Shepparton side of the town of Mooroopna. This is a place I could happily meet friends, for a BBQ or walk and it is an ideal place to plan a painting tutiorial class.
