I am asking advice. Our winter holiday plans got half made then changed. We booked 6 weeks from May 1 for me to give art private lessons once a week for 6 weeks, on the Eyre Peninsula while Reg goes fishing.
Then we were returning to Narre Warren to babysit a daughter's dog while my daughter and family went to Darwin.
Their plans changed so we are half booked and don't know where to go from mid June and too late in season to travel all the way North, to the Pilbara or far north Queensland I think. I am not adding thirteen thousand driving kilometers to a tour if I am not going to be in the area for at least three months.
My original plans before I changed them to assist my daughter was to have been in the Pilbara at the start of May. Too far to go to leave mid winter to get there for winter. I LOVE Western Australia but it is a long way from South Eastern Australia to go there for a short tour.
So now I am totally undecided what to do. This will be the first year we may not go north to the warm area for winter.
Any suggestions where it might be a little warmer for the last 6 weeks of winter but is not more than 2,000 k maximum from either Ayer Peninsula or Shepparton our return trip destination?
