Andre, the friendly park manager at the Flying Fish Point Caravan Park, In North East QLD sent Reg and I some photos today that sure make us look forward to our week stay in the park during the Victorian winter. Neither Reg nor I are into fishing, mind you, we love to eat fresh catch, but all I could say when I saw that beauty, see top photo, was WOW.
I am currently in our Victorian studio making a list of dog-friendly caravan parks and planning our winter tour.
Like many gray nomads, we travel to a warmer climate every winter, not so much to escape the cold, but to get away from the smoke of neighbours wood fires. While smoke may not bother everyone, it sure worries those with a respiratory condition and the best escape, form this once we reach retirement is to become a gray nomad and head north.
