It is all activity outside my studio today. I am forced to make my own Coffee. This is the wonderful environment we live in here in the country. The photo shows my wonderful man Reg being 'bossed around' by someone other than me for a change as he places my new fly wire door in place.
I bought a fly wire door that was too large for my existing studio door knowing that we not only did not have the tools to make it smaller or fit it to the doorway but we lacked the skills to do it. My husband who once was a carpenters apprentice now has frontal lobe degeneration and cannot use tools.
I no sooner unloaded the door from the car and a gentleman walked past our home walking his dog, we got chatting and he was here yesterday cutting the door to fit before he went out for his game of bowls. Keeping the grey retiree generation busy doing handyman chores between walking the dog will help keep them fit and slim.
Today he is here installing the door with my husband's help. What a wonderful community we live in. Retired seniors who share their skills with each other.
