WHAT: Temporary closure of Rivermouth Road Mitchell River Silt Jettys
WHEN: Monday 8 November 2010 for approximately 3 weeks
**However, pedestrian and public access will be available over the weekends from 5pm Friday through to 7am on Mondays for the duration of the works program.
The photo shows the recreation area beside the Lower Mitchel River.
WHERE: Eastern section of Rivermouth Road beyond the private properties.
Gippsland Lakes Reserve.

WHY In conjunction with the East Gippsland Catchment Management Authority, the Rivermouth Rd, Mitchell River Silt Jetties will be closed for public and contractor safety, as there will be heavy machinery working onsite.
The works are being performed for erosion control along with fish habitat restoration.
This work will not restrict access for local residents.
