The best-made plans to get away for a tour, don’t always go to plan.
Most of our health and dental checks have been completed and yesterday turned into a fiasco with three trips to the Shepparton Base Hospital, two of them routine but the last one was a few hours of sitting in the waiting area with my hand on ice after being bitten by a white tail spider.
My hand is fine today but I didn’t feel like writing last night so I read an exercise book and motivated myself to exercise when I woke up this morning instead of latter in the day when I usually do my exercise.
Big mistake. Even though I did my warm ups, at 63, I obviously need a little longer to warm my body, I will not plunge into my full body work outs first thing in the morning again, even a walk around the block first would be smarter.
Tonight when I should be packing the car, I am on go slow, resting and taking aspirin, for back pain due to the inadequate warm up before exercising this morning. I will learn.
This will not slow my fitness workouts down; I will just not exercise quite that hard, early in the day.
All’s good, we will still get away on time for our Gippsland tour; I may just need to leave the house a bit of a mess to make my get away deadline. I will not let that worry me.
