Home Office with Dog
Morning online work begins for artist-author Ryn.
Office essentials in order. Keyboard to the left. Tessa the cavoodle is placed centrally in the arrangement, wireless mouse to the right. The computer screen and coffee are just out of view above.
Now, back to' "How NOT to Paint a Wall."
Knock over the lamp!
Pick up the broken lamp pieces.
Yell for ‘help' to 'find the glue.'
Thank helper, for glue and begin to repair favourite lamp.
Feel happy. I'm going to be able to save the lamp.
It all begins to come unstuck.
SCREAM loudly, ‘HELP!’
Finish painting the wall.
Paint the old étagère in special effects streaky greys and creams with mother of pearl, to match a wardrobe on the opposite wall. I love painting ‘special effects’.
Return lamp to spot beside the bed. I'll remember to lock the dog out of the room next time I put delicate items on the bed.
Turn light on and enjoy the effect of the mother of pearl wall behind the lamp and the bed, and be pleased that all that fancy paintwork in permanent enamels that I did to unify it into the colour scheme of my bedroom, helped hide all the repair work.
"I'll keep the lights dimmed, and you would never know."
Thinking how well the silvery pipping trim on the lampshade, works well with the mother of pearl wall behind the lamp.
Feel pleased with the work.
Think' ‘I must write into my time management essays how work always tends to expand into the time available and beyond if you don’t plan properly.'
I had more success designing a video camera mount for overhead filming.
I created this mount in my eighth attempt using found objects.
Thanks for all the encouragement.
