Possum Family Fine Art Prints and Gifts

I've added opaque watercolour to the artwork below.
I create art across many mediums. This possum family portrait was started with the transparent Maimeri Blu brand watercolour background, and the details were applied with Maimeri Gouache.

The artwork is copyright © Ryn Shell 2019

This artwork was painted on 500gram Fabriano 100% rag content med texture paper. Possums (not the same as the US opossum) is a favourite Australian wildlife subject for me. They now appear in my novels too, my love of them transition across my creative mediums.

That is our Eucalyptus Ficifola or red flowering gum the possums are eating. They also love my apples, lemon tree bark and roses, but I grow enough for all of us. I live in harmony with the nature around me. By providing a possum shelter they don't try to nest in your roof.

Happy Creativity,
Ryn Shell,

I took Reg and Indigo for a walk, along the Goulburn riverside,  then over the suspension bridge yesterday evening. I will be seeking out more relaxing evening walk locations in the area, to explore. I found red flowering eucalyptus and plentiful bees to inspire my painting.

The shared pathway, via a spectacular suspension bridge, directly links two of Greater Shepparton's most popular passive recreation areas.

The bridge is a bright and colourful landmark that allows users of the pathway to move from the Victoria Park Lake precinct to one of Australia's largest outdoor playgrounds, SPC Ardmona KidsTown.

Shepparton is a beautiful city, this time of year. Jacaranda trees are in flower and  well tended community rose gardens and lawns with annual flower beds in full bloom in the parks around the town, and surrounding this busy outer city is the farmlands, agriculture, orchids and dairy cattle pastures and the rivergum forests along the Goulburn and the Broken river.  The followings are images of my painting of the gum blossoms and bee.
