Embrace the Blues

The blues of nature, often seen in sky, flowers, birds & butterflies are all beautiful.
Why are we people so scared of the blues?
It is okay to be sad in moderation, it's a normal contrast to happy.
You would tire of paintings if they were only bright sunny yellow all the time.

I had a wonderful day painting, completing this Superb fairy wren painting in acrylics on canvas using my traditional oil painting fine art techniques.

This painting is the first in a series of blue wren works I have sketched and completed in acrylic paint, using traditional fine art oil painting techniques.

The superb fairy-wren (Malurus cyaneus), also known as the superb blue-wren or colloquially as the blue wren, has been voted as Australia's most loved bird.

Open Mystery
