Feel in need of a tranquil beach and a gorgeous sunset? This is Hervey Bay. One of my favourite places to watch a sunset. Extra special to get gorgeous sunsets over water on the east coast.
I arrived at the beach a little frazzled after towing a caravan through suburbs of peak hour traffic. What had begun as tranquil seaside villages has grown into a busy community of 52,000 people, last time I checked. The fourteen kilometres of exquisite beach and the peaceful waters of the bay, ideal for reflecting the sunset, made the visit to Hervey Bay worthwhile. If you are visiting as a tourist, I'd suggest avoiding the peak hour traffic. Hervey Bay is three hours drive north of Brisbane. ![]()

This work was painted using watercolour pencils.
I gave the original as a gift to a beautiful lady who offered me accommodation while I exhibited art in Sydney. The artwork was suited to being reproduced as an art fridge magnet with a quote added. These are fun to make and give as gifts. The Apricot Nectar Rose
This flower from my garden features now as an art demonstration and an art gifts.

Ruth Randall's novel "A Judgement in Stone," opens with this line.
"Eunice Parchman killed the Coverdale family because she could not read or write." In open mystery novel, the reader knows who the murderer is, from the beginning; the mystery is why, and how, they did it, and if they will be caught. In The Stolen Years series of novels, the reader has a view of who commits many of the crimes. There is plenty of suspense while no one else suspects who the murderer is. The Stolen Years Series
