Feel in need of a tranquil beach and a gorgeous sunset? This is Hervey Bay. One of my favourite places to watch a sunset. Extra special to get gorgeous sunsets over water on the east coast.
I arrived at the beach a little frazzled after towing a caravan through suburbs of peak hour traffic. What had begun as tranquil seaside villages has grown into a busy community of 52,000 people, last time I checked. The fourteen kilometres of exquisite beach and the peaceful waters of the bay, ideal for reflecting the sunset, made the visit to Hervey Bay worthwhile. If you are visiting as a tourist, I'd suggest avoiding the peak hour traffic.
Hervey Bay is three hours drive north of Brisbane.

This work was painted using watercolour pencils.
I gave the original as a gift to a beautiful lady who offered me accommodation while I exhibited art in Sydney. The artwork was suited to being reproduced as an art fridge magnet with a quote added. These are fun to make and give as gifts.
The Apricot Nectar Rose
This flower from my garden features now as an art demonstration and an art gifts.

Gold, is a richly drawn, evocative, stand-alone novel.
ORPHANED, BETRAYED, and DETERMINED, Jane Mutta's adventures lead her to the 1850s Australian gold rush and encounters with (highwaymen) bushrangers. Amidst the dangers, there are rocky entanglements on a coach and steamship with the explorer Douglas Fife. To survive, she will need all her resources.
Something different in the way of romantic historical fiction. This is an adventure through humour and historically tragic events. It is more than historical romance — judge for yourself; Miss Mutta breaks stereotypes.
From an Australian bestselling author comes stories of determination to find one's place in a world that men are threatening to tear apart.
