Face Masks Featuring Australian Art
Today, I read that Victoria's Premier Daniel Andrews made floor coverings mandatory. How many dyslectics will be storming the floor coverings' stores in the morning? Or, did we all read again, to see face coverings? I wear and wash masks from my art print store. I chose this pair for Reg and me.
I read things until I get three versions in a row that are the same.
Then. if it's important information, I seek a second opinion that I read it correctly.
Things can read funny: The men drinking bears had frothy moths. She excreted herself at the gym.
I need to read multiple times until I get words, bear, mouth, exerted, that make sense within the sentence, then, I do the extra read through to confirm the information. It makes reading and writing slow, but possible.
I also need to tell myself to not be embarrassed by my typos. I once feared to show words I'd written. That held me back dreadfully. To write seven novels was my mastery challenge over fear.
Some people will never understand. My friends accept that I'm dyslectic. I warn them, if I call them a fiend, I meant friend.
Painting comes easier to me than writing as I don't need to process letters and numbers. See my painting video above.
Be prepared to use up a lot of paper in your practice sessions. I once asked an, experienced artists I was having private tuition with, to show me how to do something. When he showed me, I exclaimed in glee that ‘I now knew how to do that’. He quickly ‘put me in my place’ by telling me that ’40 years of doing that is how you learn to master it’. I went home and every night used up every sheet of the newspaper, practicing the technique over the top of the news advertisements.
Practice, Practice, Practice!
